Acceptance into a SETUKA Therapeutic Retreat is subject to the following:

• Online Registration Form Completion with agreement to SETUKA Terms & Conditions

• Confirmation email from SETUKA Founder, Heidi Kempeneer

• Receipt of payment in full

 

Payments & Deposit

• All prices and payments are in Swiss Francs (CHF) or Euro (EUR)

• A non-refundable deposit of 500 CHF / EUR,- will secure your reservation

• The balance must be paid 2 months before the start of the retreat

• If booking less than 2 months prior to retreat a full payment is required

• Discounts are not offered if unable to attend the full retreat

 

Cancellations

By Retreat Customer

• A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation and have responded having acknowledged the cancellation.
  If you cancel your retreat:

  • SETUKA will retain the non-refundable deposit.

  • 8 weeks or less prior to the retreat date, SETUKA will retain 100% of the amount paid in connection with the booking.

• In the event that a refund is warranted, as an exception and subject to acceptance by SETUKA, the amount of the deemed refund will be returned minus bank charges and/or transaction fees, plus a €50 STUKA handling fee.

• If you fail to join the retreat, arrive after the commencement of the retreat, or leave prior to its completion, no deduction to the price or refund will be made.

By SETUKA

• Cancellations within the control of SETUKA will be fully refunded minus the banking fees.

• Compensation will not be paid if SETUKA is forced to cancel or in any way change your retreat due to war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, pandemic, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, or other circumstances which amount to force majeure.

• SETUKA will not be responsible for any monies you have paid for travel, so please make sure you have travel insurance and or book flexible flights with an airline that will allow free date changes or that issues credit vouchers for future flights.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended to get a travel insurance.

 

Waiver of liability

Without limitation, SETUKA, is not responsible or liable for bodily injury, death, delays, changes or losses caused by, but not limited to acts of God, war, threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, natural disaster, pandemics, accidents or any other events beyond or within our control; guests’ injuries, illnesses, medical nor psychiatric conditions developed during nor subsequent to the retreat; loss of/or damage to personal property of guests.

In consideration for my participation in the fitness activities organised SETUKA, I legally bind myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, and hereby wave, fully and finally any causes of action or claims against SETUKA along with its owners, directors, officers, employees, members, shareholders, representatives, agents and assignees from any damage of any nature whatsoever, including, but not limited to any personal injuries incurred by the undersigned patron, user/subscriber/member of SETUKA, directly or indirectly resulting from participating in the services and/or activities undertaken at events and retreats organised by SETUKA, as well as any personal injury sustained by the undersigned patron’s presence on the venue used for the event or retreat of SETUKA whether or not participating in or utilising the services and/or activities during the event or retreat of SETUKA.

I understand that from time to time during classes provided by SETUKA, facilitators may physically adjust or assist participant’s form when making yoga postures. If I do not want such physical adjustments, I will inform the facilitator at each class or session I attend.

I also acknowledge that if I do wish to receive such adjustments or assistance, it’s my responsibility to inform the instructor when an adjustment has gone as far as I desire at that time.

I acknowledge that it’s my responsibility to ascertain that there is no medical reason to prevent my participation at the activities organised by SETUKA.

Travel insurance

• It is strongly recommended that you obtain your own full travel insurance to cover your trip, to cover cancellations or loss of items and medical expenses. SETUKA is not liable for your travel, any loss or damages incurred through circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

• SETUKA does not accept liability for loss or damage to your personal property nor any medical condition, which may develop during or after your retreat. Your travel insurance should cover these and any other contingencies.

• Whilst all reasonable measures are taken to ensure a high standard of health and safety, SETUKA shall not be responsible for any injuries caused by nature or the environment.

 

Food & Beverages

SETUKA retreats and events offer vegetarian and vegan meals prepared and served by a professional chef.

• In case of dietary restrictions, you are responsible for caring for your own special dietary needs. Although our chefs are always willing to accommodate your special needs within reason and capability, your consumption is not their responsibility. Ask the chef about the ingredients in case you’re not sure what fits your diet.

• Alcoholic beverages are not included in the price package.

• Under no circumstances do we encourage and allow consumption of copious amounts of alcohol or drugs. Please understand that you may be asked to leave the retreat, if your alcohol and/or drug consumption and relating behaviour are disrupting the peace and quiet of the other guests and staff members.  

 

Local customs and group conduct

• You will familiarise yourself with the local customs of the country you are visiting, especially if it is a country with conservative culture or you are visiting a location that does not have many tourists.

• Participants who are deemed by the Retreat Leader to be acting in a way that is inappropriate towards our retreat teams, our hosts or other participants will be given one warning and requested to stop. If the inappropriate conduct continues the Retreat Leader may ask the guest to leave the retreat.

• Inappropriate conduct includes verbal abuse, aggressive behaviour and violence, repeatedly disruptive behaviour, consuming excessive alcohol or drugs, sexual harassment, including sexual comments and unwanted touching. It also includes unwelcome behaviour that intimidates, offends or humiliates a person because of a particular personal characteristic such as age, race, gender, disability, religion or sexuality. It also includes culturally disrespectful or insensitive behaviour.

• No refund will be given in this circumstance and all costs for early departure must be met by the guest.

 

Retreat changes

If for any reason a facilitator becomes incapable and unavailable, SETUKA will replace the person in question with an equally suitable substitute. You will be accordingly informed.

 

Photos & videos

• Please let your preferences known in regards to the use of your image in photos and/or videos taken during the retreat by SETUKA or by your co-retreaters.

• Professional photography and videos by SETUKA are shared with the group for private use only. The right to use this footage for professional purposes is reserved for SETUKA only.

• In case you like to share some footage for private purpose on your socials we would appreciate it very much if you credit SETUKA for the material.

 

Updating of Terms & Conditions

SETUKA reserves the right to update and/or alter these terms and conditions at any time. It is you responsibility to be familiar with them prior to booking and attending a retreat or event organised by SETUKA.

 

These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts of the canton of Geneva.
